Tuning Thread - Bits and Bobs

We dont have a real tuning thread on here, yeah weve got a few where we have got our new exhausts and questions about panel filters but we dont seem to have one solely for new tuning bits we find that dont necessarily warrant their own thread so im starting one  :smiley:

Have we seen what APR have brought out: http://www.goapr.com/products/turbo_muffler_delete_ea888_g3_ihi.html

My intercooler should be at Shark by now, I hope I can get one of these deletes before it goes in for tuning so I can get it done in one big hit  :cool:

Yeah, I saw that on the USA mk7 forum the other day, it looks interesting and would be curious as to whether it made any noticeable difference. A fairly cheap and invisible mod if it does anything more than make more noise!

My thoughts too, I'm wondering if it's going to be more of a 'feel' thing increasing turbo spool making it feel more responsive rather than showing meaningful gains on the dyno. Time will tell!

GIAC have released their OBD remapping worldwide and is priced at £550 inc VAT from Forge UK, not sure how that compares with the other well known OBD mappers(?) but seems to adapt well to further mods looking at their blurb

Not bad price and I know people rate them well but bhp is a little down compared to revo and Apr but it's another tuner to add to the list. Unitronic have a map out too but they're not in the UK

The muffler delete looks like its going to improve the airflow but if its actually a problem that needs solving im not sure....??
Im looking FWD to APR's exhaust system release....they normally put a lot of R&D into their systems.

Millsy, I was thinking about this the other day, why don't you try over at SCN, in my experience more SEAT owners wanna modify than VW's and im sure you'll get plenty of volunteers

Well I emailed APR last week about where I could get one of these as my car is going in for tuning 1/11 and I'd like to have it installed before it goes in. Very excited I can tell you! However as of yet no word back from them, think i'll give them a call today.
