Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor!
« on: 09 October 2014, 13:07 »
Hmmm..! had a exhaust sensor come up on the dash the other day. Whipped it into our local WV independents and they've diagnosed Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor!

Didn't think it would cost much but looks like I'll for looking at £400-£450 to sort

She's booked in somewhere else (recommended independents) on the 29th for a re-diagnose and sort out.

Anyone else had this problem?

Regards,

Mart

Yea mine had that don't worry about it if it's not affecting the car (that's not a technical diagnostics), I got a quote of about £600 from an Indy to repair it, all it is inside the intake manifold a sensor is not sending off the information so an error is sent, I had it on for about two weeks while I was trying to find the money then it went off, was off for a few months then every now and then pops up for a few days. I've done about 4,000 miles since 1st seeing it and the car is still working fine.

If I was you Id wait and see if it goes off if it doesn't say after a month (1,000 miles) then look at getting it changed or if it's affecting performance/economy then prob sooner
