Mk6 GTI Steering wheel
« on: 03 October 2014, 16:36 »
Anyone one here have one of these fitted? Any problems,  I know the plugs are different but is that all?

Might have got one at good money and don't want to pass it up.

Get the airbag loom as well mate as you'll need to make a hybrid loom from both the mk4 and mk6 bits. I have a mk5 steering wheel in my golf and I love it

Cheers you kinda cleared it up in my head. Will set about looking for the loom. I think I know what to do lol.

It looks well. Any bother with the airbag? Been reading up about two stage and single stage.

I've heard rumours that it won't fire in the event of an accident but there's only one way to find that out and TBH I don't really want to be the one to confirm/deny it lol

The airbag light turns off after a self test though and it's no worse than fitting a MOMO wheel and resistors
