1.8T Oil Leak
« on: 30 September 2014, 00:27 »
Got a slight oil leak that is only apparent after a long run or when giving it some stick. It's leaking from near side of block from top on to the gearbox when and can smell it burning when leaking.

Could this be rocker cover gasket or oil to turbo line?

Likely to be the cam chain tensioner gasket given your description. Usually seeps from the 'half moon' rubber part and should be able to see this to confirm.

Give it a good clean up then run it up to temp, you will soon see where it is leaking
