Potentially bad situation turned out great.
« on: 21 September 2014, 14:05 »
A gang of teenage scrotes were up to no good in the Morrisons car park in Tynemouth last night. Came out from shopping only to find about 3 people chasing off the scrotes. Apparently they'd just launched 3 shopping trolleys at a car, and yes it was mine - the bastards. Luckily for me the wheels of the trolley must have been typical shopping trolley steering and they had slowed down to a crawl by the time my car was hit. I have a tiny 40mm scratch, barely detectable for depth with a fingernail - it hasn't gone beyond the gloss.

As it was pitch black, at the time I couldn't be sure there wasn't a dent (there wasn't), so the bobbies were called for an appointment today. They came by at a most opportune moment. They decided the damage was so small they don't want to take things further (Morrisons has clear CCTV footage identifying them as they were in the store right before the incident) - what ever happened to intent to cause criminal damage?

As it turns out, my neighbour was parked across our drive. They do this all the time to either me or next-door-but-one, and we ask them not to every few weeks, and they end up coming back after a week. I got the bobbies to have a word, after i'd showed the car clearly across my drive. Hopefully they won't be doing that again. They pretended not to be in when the bobby knocked, but luckily she persisted, eventually shouting through the letterbox that she knew they were there. The battered old A4 was moved sharpish. Justice! (kind of).

f**king sh!t to hear that pal. Shame the coppers can't be arsed with perusing the CCTV, although they probably know they'll get off scott free any how.

Nice to hear about the neighborhood justice, the parking around my house is becoming farcical too.

The scratch came out with some "G3" that my kindly next-door-but-one (on the other side of the inconsiderate parkers) gave to me. He was tickled when I told him about the bobby knocking on next-door and having a word - he's also been a regular victim of their parking. All's well that ends well.

Good to hear all is sorted out.  I also avoided a minor disaster with my car last night.  I live on a main road through my town which some youths decided would also be good to have a street party on at midnight last night and to my disbelief I went out on to my drive this morning to find a beer can half full of beer which had been lauched toward my car, but had landed only a foot short of hitting my front wing.  What is wrong with youths of today.  I am only in my 30's and do not class myself as a moany old git yet.  But the way kids act today with no respect for other peoples belongings really does make my blood boil.

Not good, but could've been worse.  Last week someone torched a car in my local Sainsbury's car park.  Saw it the next day, totally burnt out and melted to the tarmac.  Mind you, it was a Pug

ar5eholes.  Police are a total waste of time these days.

needless to say, even if they did prosecute, they would only be given a slap on the wrist by the CPS anyhow.

Id happily get them lined up and run/push a fully laden trolley into them full chat and see how much they liked it.

It probably sustained less damage than had it been 'washed' by one of the Albanians with a cup full of water and a grubby MF cloth tho'.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

A whole cup, that's pushing it.  You're not wrong dubber.  Those guys have given up asking if I want my car washed.  My perpetual look of derision has paid off.

We have a group of these in our local Sainsbury's car park, they will ask if you want your car washed when it's gleaming.

Yes, exactly.  No kidding, there have been times I've literally just finished detailing the car, parked up in Sainsburys to do the weekly shop, and they stroll over and ask if I want it washing!!
