I've been through 2xMk3's 1xMK4 and now the MK5 since I signed up

was 1 mk3 not enough 

Is three something to worry about, maybe I should get psychiatric help? Now I've got an A4 auto soot chucker, oh god oh god help me it's all going wrong arrrrrgggghhhhh

Had the golf since 2002, always wanted a GTI, just never happened! Before that, Dad had the golf since 1989, when i was 4yrs, used to go to primary school in that car! Still used daily/every other day.

Yep but I've only been here less then a year but would like to change to a mk6 r... But just can't justify the extra cost

Nope - I joined up when my mk3 8v GTi (GTi used loosely on the 8v) had cutting out issues. As soon as a VR6 came up it was gone!

Joined with a Mk2 1.8 GL, been through 2x Mk3s, another Mk2, 2x Polos, a terrible Alfa (my only non-VAG), an Audi A4 and now on a Skoda Octavia (based on the Mk5 chassis), which has been pretty reliable so far.
But I've been a member for quite a long time.

Yep! Bought my Golf in February 2003.

No, my Mk5 went after 3 years.  I never really liked the chubby looks.  Plus one of my staff got an S3.

God no, its long gone to a scrap heap and i've had many many others since!

This is being collected tomorrow though, should entertain for a few months!

Just about to put it up for sale. Absolutely love it, but need something a little more sensible. Will be sad to see it go!
