The r line design is much the same as mercs amg branding just extra kit on the car so they can inflate the price. I'm with you they should stick with golf gti and r by all means make a quick polo just don't call it a gti  :smiley:

Yep the only GTI should be a Golf.

For extra kit they can use R-line, GT etc whatever they like

For top of the range performance wise they should use R across the entire line.

Can we sign a petition?  :rolleyes:

Will it handle though, as in the past this has not exactly been a strong point...

TBH, I'm not too worried about that. I also have a Mk2 Mazda MX5, which has brilliant handling. I would probably sell that and my VW Up! to get a Polo R.
