TT Competitions onto Mk2??
« on: 11 September 2005, 13:22 »
Anyone got some ideas on the best way to tackle this. I've seen only one red 8v in an old PVW mag, the question being do I go the spacer route and have the arches well bashed out to suit or get some Mk3 hubs/brakes etc put onto the car instead, thus giving 5 stud 100pcd holes? Any advice greatly appreciated.

id go for the wheel adaptor route, you can get em for around £130 ish if you shop hard enough, worth it i reckon save changin all the other stuff cause that means discs and loads of hassle....

they look sweet though on a mk2...

If you find a scrap mk3 then i would change the whole hubs etc etc

The wheels will sit inside the arches better. ive been told that you can buy replicas that will fit better too

I sold the set i had to a guy who fitted them to a polo salloon (and it looks fantastic)
he did the full 5 stud conversion and that way you dont run into clearance problems due to the extra width of the adaptor,

Cheers for the help guys, have tried spacers before on a Corrado which wasn't ideal, so here comes alot of spanner work I think.
