Hey all, I want to fit central locking to the beast, go OEM with the pneumatic system or go with a new system? What's the deal and whos dunnit?

I would have said electric, but can you lock the fuel cap and boot with it?

I always thought OEM was the way forward
electric sounds easier to me, especially as I want to fit a Cat 1 alarm to it in the not to distant future too..

Fitting oem is easier as you can just take it out of a gti with it already and then convert it to remote locking. Plus you get boot and filler cap.
