Keep it completely factory standard and spotlessly clean. That will get it noticed, or is that not the sort of attention you want?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Why do you want to be noticed? You can do loads from lairy paint to wheels.

A good quality wax.

Having a stunningly shiney mk2 will get you noticed way more than a daft exhaust. People will appreciate it, rather than thinking "what a tool"

After washing and waxing mine, i get a lot of comments at petrol stations etc.

In the pursuit of fairness - The only external mod I have is -30mm springs.
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.

This ain't a MAX POWER forum sonny.

It'll get noticed because its a classic and quite a rare sight on the road these days.  You'll get respect from your fellow man and attract classy birds.

Keep it clean and tidy, that's all you need to do.

Don't fit a mahoosive boom boom (I really have a small thingy) exhaust and sh!t wheels..

I have a mk2, it's not perfect but its always clean, i have machined polished it + few little touches, it looks cracking (in my eyes). I have probably been stopped about 10 times by admirers

The only excuse for a exhaust is if you are in fact running something mad under the bonnet and even then a sleeper is much cooler and will turn more heads than a chav wagon. That being said good wheels are nice, make it clean and I like the look of my leather interior. If it's poverty spec then electric windows makes it look better when you want to shout romantic comments at woman walking down the street. Oh and also make it lower, not stupid low but close some of that arch gap. Arch gap is like a pussy, the more fingers you can fit in the worse it is.

Keep it standard bla bla bla!! It's your car do what you want to it! Isn't nothing standard about my golf. A few of the die hard enthusiasts on here would have a seizure if they saw my golf driving down road, but how many of them get people knockin on their door asking if they'll sell their 'bog standard' golf.. hhhmmmmmmmmm!!
