501 red led bulbs for footwell

Once fitted you'll need to play about with the % light setting in the DIS to get them as you like them.
 

Please could you tell me where in the DIS are the settings for this? I can't seem to locate it on my Mk6 GTI.

In the DIS:

Settings - Lights & Vision - Footwell (3rd down in list).  Mine is set at 30%

When I first got my golf I thought the footwell lights where faulty due to them staying on. I'd never known a with constant footwell illumination. Won't them being on all the time cause excessive heat on the bulbs?

They're only on (and stay on) when the main headlights are switched on, and also illuminated when the doors are opened (even if main lights are off).  Never noticed any excessive heat.  Suppose it depends if you do long periods of night driving?
