Oil Overfill?

Hi,

I put 1L of oil in my golf gti 3 weeks ago. Went on a long journey, then the next time I checked the dipstick (30mins after running engine to 90 deg celcius), the oil level was at the "A" of MAX. I am pretty sure this is a little too much as it is past the top bend.

Should I take it to the garage for them to drain the oil ASAP? I haven't noticed any issue/symptom yet. Car is a 2011 model GTI MK6 2.0LT and has done ~13k miles.

Any help would be appreciated.

A tiny bit over the line is okay. If it's overfilled by something like a quarter I would be be getting it drained off.
