Changing standard air filter to pipercross filter.....

I was considering the cold air intake route but wanna keep this car standard. I've always over modded my cars in the past, last one being a 2007 focus ST 225 that I plowed over £9000 into in under a year then traded it in for £8500  never again.

I always believe you should upgrade a cars breathing ie my new pipercross filter. Ok so even though I'm a modder I've never actually worked on cars, always had pro's work on my cars. I wanna do the filter myself. Is it a easy job considering I'm a novice?

Any advice or tips?

A toddler could carry it out easy mate just stick the pipercross sticker on e airbox so if you get service elsewhere they don't bin it

He made that look harder than it is.
Basically on uk cars the follow applies
1 There is no hose on the front of the air box
2 The screws are standard cross heads not torx
3 You don't need to undo the intake pipe
4 You don't need to unplug the mass air flow sensor.

Just undo the 8 screws and lift up the top of the airbox and move it to the side while you remove the old filter and slot in the new one. Move the top back over and seat it back in place.  Retighten the 8 screws, Be gentle though as they go into plastic so dont over tighten them.

Yours are cross heads snoopy? I have torx heads on the screws in mine :S I agree it's mega piece of cake easy though!

If your car is not mapped I wouldnt even both with swapping the intake filter, it has been proven that is hardly makes a difference over the paper one. You only need to change if you planning on increasing power.

Yes. I removed the oem filter and marked it before the car was serviced to make sure they changed it.
