personally i wouldnt buy any other than jom coilovers now having used them, well decent for the money

Im after something far better in quality and ride comfot. I know alot use joms/fk all same any way but want something with a good name behind for build and ride performance.

They are cheap lows and that is the only reason anyone likes them if you stuck a decent set on you would see the difference night and day!! joms are great for people who want cheap lows and don't mind having a harsh ride!

Exactly. But getting annoying now. Too much choice. Got apex coil over 450, avo at 660. H&r 725.00 and the kw etc around 750. Come on which one best lol. Npt doing track just want a firmer more sportier ride 40-45mm drop.

Will my arb rub on oem 16" wheels when dropped 40-45?

Ive ran spax adjustables on my previous mk2 and 3 brilliant wouldnt hesitate use them again. The softest ride is harsh but i like it like that, feel more like track suspension than for road. i have H&R coilovers now on they mk4 nowhere near as harsh but cost a lot more than my spax did.

I've got AP coilovers on as came with the car when bought it.

It is probably down by 60/70mm at the moment and only just slightly harsher than when had a 40mm Weitec shocks & springs kit on my old MK4.

A lot less body roll even without a rear arb compared to previous car although can be a bit bouncy when going fast on rough roads.

They are mid budget think £400 new and I bet with a sensible drop would be more than usable day to day.

Front ARB will be fine with a 40-45mm drop

I have the same requirements for my own mk4 albeit an estate.  Do the rears vary on mk4's like the mk3's do or can I use normal hatchback suspension kits?
Am I right in thinking a spring and strut set up will just have higher spring rates to compensate for the rear load...and coilovers would just be a case of adjusting accordingly?
