Thanks to everyone for their advice and help to get her looking exactly how I hoped! It was a bit of a mission to do some of the more fiddly bits but so glad I persevered!!

thanks mate, getting the red trim off wasn't as hard as i thought, just a bit fiddly! had to modify the grill a little to get the new gti badge to fit though
