Dishonesty strikes again!!!
« on: 04 August 2014, 23:19 »
Parked out side my office in a leafy part of birmingham, left the office as normal to pick the little one up from nursery parked in the nursery car park in a different spot as my usual spot was taken, pick the little one up and I return toy car to find this

No sign of any one around. After my initial disgust, anger and foul mouthed rant I called the nursery to ask if their car park cameras would have picked anything up. Lo and behold no camera over looking the spot where my car was parked.

Not on to finding someone who will carry out a repair. The scratch on the quarter panel is deep enough to run a nail through. So I suspect will need to be properly repaired as opposed to a smart repair. I have called the guy who repaired my chip on the passenger door after the last plonker let his door open on to my car. But this may be too much for a smart repair and due to the size and location of the damage I want a good job done. Not impressed to say the least. The lack of care, respect or honesty of the individual really vexes me

Anyone know someone in the birmingham/West Midlands area that people have used  that would be able to assist.

That's more malicious damage than an accident. Looks like a key or a stone etc. Watch out for someone looking at you when you go to the nursery next. I can't understand why people do this sort of thing other than jealousy.

Really feel for you fella. I hate seeing any kind of malicious (or not) damage to people's pride and joy.

What's probably happened, given it was at nursery, is somebody parked too close, in a rush, pulling pram out of their car and swung it into yours. Shocking.

As you say it's the blatant dishonest which gets you mad. They're probably deeply embarrassed too and couldn't bring themselves to own up.

Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.

Looks like there are a few of us suffering in silence. Does anyone know of a good bodywork place where I could take the motor around birmingham

Misterp who did you use to repair your paint?.........I'm in Birmingham and like yourself my wife's GTD has been damaged not once but TWICE over the last weekend. First one was at Costco in Coventry where a car door was opened onto her drivers door, we know what car it was as there is CCTV cameras on the car park, however due to the fact the CCTV does not show the car door being opened onto the wife's GTD then we do not have a case

The second damage was caused by a 'flying' clothes rail at a car boot sale on Sunday which caused a golf ball sized dent and crease over the N/S rear quarter, this is 99% a body shop repair!! Car is only 3 months old!!! To top it off the wife has been informed that as there has been 2 incidents she will have to pay her excess twice   these insurance companies really do take the pi$$!!

this just annoys the hell out of me, will not stereotype but i see this on a daily basis and there is a distinct type shall we say

i park far away or on the roof in multi storeys as the 'type' do not migrate that far as too much effort

wife's car is in at the detailers before the 7 arrives and we have 5 smart repair dents to be fixed on all doors and rear wing as well as some polishing to remove a childs grubby hand prints whilst covered in sun tan oil

the location of your encounters probably meets my general stereotype
