Wiring Question

heya, i just ot a quikc question. i want to take a direct feed 12v offa the battery, how do i take the wire to the interior of the car, is there a slot or hole or something present, or do i have to drill thru the dash or under the glove box?

under the glove box mate. take the shelf off by the 4-5 screws and there will be a grommet behind the carpet

cig lighter, got a 85 mk2, 1.3, no cigy lighter in there, dont even smoke, just need it so i can hook up ma laptop in the car
