just letting of steam
« on: 28 July 2014, 22:23 »
started 3 weeks ago with lumpy running, cutting out, jerking, cleaned out breather pipes repaired broken pipes, changed the fuses after trying to get hold of them, still the same. got new crankshaft sensor thought may as well do oil change, filter plugs ht lead clean throttle body, rotor arm, rocker cover gasket. Put all back together oil leaking out of sensor grrrrr, re checked sensor, refitted, all back together. all good

later in the week after back suspension went :undecided:, replaced the suspension all good , then wife took the car out only to come out of a call doing car work to see oil on the floor, omg i assumed sensor again, rechecked not coming from sensor, could not see where leak was coming from checked all, after a 1hr or so, realised its actually runnng down the back of engine, bloody rocker cover gasket, reffitted all seems ok atm, but going to have replace bolts I think as someone had it off before me, to re paint the cover(sh!tty bloody job) not sure if it could have warped, so might go ahead and get another cover and new bolts.

But at least I know all this has been replaced, fingers crossed this is the worst of it lol
