Road tax

Hello I have mk2 gti 8v and I just need to know the price on 6months road tax? I don't know as the car has been off of the road since 2011. Thanks!

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

About time we got a reduced rate. Especially us that only do about 3 or 4K a year :angry:

When I'm in charge I'm dropping Road Tax altogether.

Surely if you link it to fuel you pay more the more miles you drive and the more economical the car the less fuel you use. Simple really although I doubt Cameron and Cleggy will understand as they are driving around in crap electric motors and chauffeur driven Jags.

BTW, business drivers doing 40K a year in oil burners can pay f!!k all road tax. WTF is that about?

From this year classic car road tax exemption is on a 40 year rolling exemption (1973 start) . About 3 years and the MK1 Golf GTI will be FREE! Bit of a wait for MK2 though.  :cry:
