8J wheels with 225 width tyres
« on: 24 July 2014, 16:39 »
Hi,

I'm looking for some 8J wheels to run some 225 tyres (ET45), I just don't know how they'd fit to the mk6 golf?

anyone have any pics, or anything, I've had a look, can't find much on clearance or anything just people trying to put rocco rims on with 235's
MK6 GTi - Black - DSG - 18' Monza shadow - Luxury Pack - Convenience pack - Park assist - Xenons - RNS510 - Adaptive chassis control - Dynaudio - Bluetooth - Reverse camera - front/rear sensors --mods-- Evoms Intake - Eurojet/stasis Turboback Catless 3" exhaust

I have run both BBS CH and  Edition 35 (Reps) wheels, both were 8" wide, the BBS were 50ET and the Ed35 were 45ET.

Both were able to be fitted under the arches without projecting (until that is I fitted Porsche calipers, and then I needed 5mm spacers) to clear the brakes and the BBS stuck out at the front). There is minimal clearance with the calipers and the Ed35 wheels, If I fit 3mm spacers then there is a little projection, but with standard brakes there should be no problems.
