RNS510 + Kufatec - iPod hell... :/

I have a 2011 Golf TDi with a RNS510 head unit (the one without DAB), and a Kufatec system installed on it. Do you know any reason why the iPod MDI functions dont work properly? I cant skip tracks on the onscreen controls on the head unit and it constantly drops connection with the ipod. VW replaced the MDI lead but thats done nothing, the ipod works fine in other cars so its not that either. All it can be is either a problem with the MDI connection in the centre console, the head unit itself or the Kufatec install? I think its also draining power from the battery when the car is parked too, I think it runs when the car is off as when I left the car for two days the battery was dead. Any help you can give would be great!! Thanks, Steve

Have you coded it in using VCDS? The car needs to be told that the MDI is installed.

I think so, it was installed by the previous owner and it does work occasionally, then freezes and wont work again until the car is switched off.

A lot of the time I'll get No Audio Files message on the head unit...
