I have the above fitting kit for my Mk 5 Golf roofbars but at some point since returning from holiday last year the 4 rubber cords that sit in the door seals have disappeared.

Thule have very helpfully advised that these aren't available as spare parts. Could someone with the same kit please let me know approx what diameter these are and if they are solid or hollow. I'm sure I'll be able to get something similar on the internet.

I'm assuming you've looked on eBay to see if a random company produce replacement parts? Failing that, but some that look right and modify them as required.
