BW 30 Club

I did a search and I don't think there's a BW 30 thread (please delete if there is!), so I thought I'd start one - my missus GTD is due to be built this week (w/c 20/07/14) - anyone else having their motor built this week?

Obviously the tracker hasn't changed  but I'm far more calm/patient about this car than I was with mine

Mine was w.c 20/07/14 - just got the text 5a. saying in transit left factory.

Not sure how long till I'll get it. Bit annoying as I'm selling my car this week so got unknown car hire charges for a while.

Had the 5b and 5c (near UK) texts on consecutive days, apparently 10 days on average till the vehicle arrives!!

Picking the car up Saturday, should arrive at the dealers Wednesday afternoon, so mega excited!
Don't think that's a bad turnaround from build week 20.07.14.

Picked up the GTI yesterday and am very happy! Big thanks to Hayselden VW Barnsley for making the whole experience great from start to finish, I'll definitely use them again.

Did around 100 miles of mixed driving yesterday and straight away made me remember why I love GTI's. In hindsight the car is probably better suited to me and I should have kept my original order last year but hey ho.
I won't go into anymore detail as the plusses have been covered thousands of times on here, but it is a great car and I'm glad I changed the order from an R.
