cat swap for decat... ecu adjusting?

If you swap cat out for a decat..

How long does it take for the ECU to adjust?

Can that affect the sound i.e. the petrol/air changes

Think this might be the reason for why my car was sounding top at first when new exhaust was fitted and then now its gone quiet and crappy.

It'll adjust pretty quickly and I highly doubt it will be responsible for a change in noise.

Have you checked for blows in the joins? None of the hangers are touching a heat shield or anything?
