I did see the new TTS vs S3 pricing for your extra 10ps - very pricey. Maybe a new wave of Audi pricing corrections is on it's way? For the last 5 years (when the mk6 golf came in at 20% more than the outgoing mk5), VW prices have climbed higher than Audi, not leaving much of a gap. Maybe Audis are about to become expensive again (relative to VW)?

Sticker price may not seem hugely relevant these days, but if you add thousands to the RRP, you're still going to have to stump up around half in depreciation for.a 3 year term of ownership, absorbed in monthly PCP or rental fees.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

there isnt many options you need to add by the looks of it but its old tech.

yes you get a satnav as standard but its RNS315 from a mk2 leon, no ACC and CC is an extra, so is hill hold which just annoys me as that should be standard kit.

And most importantly, no MQB!

They're just trying to dress it up with the 'more as standard' spec, but as the saying goes, 'you can't make a silk purse of a sow's ear'

Totally pointless and up against an R - it's a no-brainer.

So when they say 'new', they really mean face lifted. This may mean that it is a run out model and a new MQB car will be on the way.

Specced one last night - just under £35k  Makes the Golf R look like a steal!  Unsure of VW's strategy on this one, it's a lovely car but totally overpriced, and as someone has also said it's got loads of old tech in the cabin - doesn't make sense!

I had a GT170 Rocco and I loved it ( although not quite enamoured with the steering ). Whilst with the facelift they've added xenon's and LED's I don't think it looks as good. The original is a great looking car, always a head turner,  but overall I am much more impressed with the Golf GTI - more so for excellent steering.
