Hello; new GTI Edition 30 owner
« on: 13 July 2014, 08:57 »
Hi all,

Thought I would introduce myself.  I've just placed a deposit on a silver, 2007 GTI Edition 30.

I was attracted to the GTI Edition 30 after having a whole selection of performance cars and now, as I get older, wanting to find that perfect balance of comfort and performance.  My last Impreza STI was running 380BHP and without a doubt the pinnacle of any performance car I'll ever own, sadly though it was the 90/10 split - the 10% driving it how it was meant to be driving was pure heaven, the other 90% was the daily grind of driving to work and down the shops.  Decided it just wasn't something I could sustain.

Previous car history in just several years;

Civic Type-R EP3
MK5 Golf R32
2005 Impreza STI
Astra VXR Nurburgring Edition
2006 Impreza STI

Looking forward to engaging with everyone on the forums :)

You have to let me know what the ED30 is like compared to the R32. Both are tempting me for my next car but I think I'm swaying towards the ED30!

I'm loving the Impreza... But the ED30 is also a good choice (and easily taken to 300bhp+).

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
