Starting trouble / flooding, still!
« on: 08 September 2005, 20:06 »
hey peeps, still got this problem.

go to start engine when its cold, and the engine is flooded straight away, take out the fuel pump fuse, crank it over until it fires then dies, and then put the fuse back in, and its fine.  what would be causing this? i cant see whats up. so im gonna need some help.  does anyone have any suggestions, or know of anyone in the norwich/norfolk area, who could help me?

Cheers in advance

Danny!

either the injectors or the seals have had it sounds like more than one big hole too if its that bad ive got one that leaks a little and it starts ok after say 2/3 seconds of starting.

does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to ignition on?

What he said :: ^^^^

Once you put the igntion on do you here a buzz for a couple of seconds coming from the back of the drivers side?

Does sound like the injectors are leaking, If you have a haynes manual the test is in there! if not ebay - couple of quid :)

Then again i just noticed it's a digi, i have no frigging clues with digi's :) Mr Rub is the man on them :)
