A little update.
My GTI has been annoyingly bunny hopping ever since my first post in this thread, and 11 months into my 12 month warranty, after booking it in for a service at
VW Reading and me asking for a diagnosis, the technician has deemed the clutch is at fault (and possibly the flywheel) and they are repairing it all under warranty. *fistpump*
First class service from Brian (service advisor) supporting the case all the way, used around 4/5 different garages in the past and this one is the best yet. Faultless customer service.
All in all since last April they have repaired a faulty injector, high pressure fuel pump, and now the clutch and flywheel.. Some might say that's unlucky, but I have yet to fork out one penny and have been supplied with ample courtesy car tyre tread and fuel
