Hello everyone. I'd be very grateful for any help with this. I've been looking around the web and seem to be finding quite a bit of contradictory information.
My air conditioning hasn't been cooling for a few months. In the last service they topped up the gas, but still no luck. I took it in yesterday for a diagnosis and a report of a faulty high pressure sensor came back. The quote was about £250 to replace it (this is a VW dealership), which seems a bit steep to me.
Is the high pressure sensor the same as the high pressure switch? If so, I've seen them available on-line for as little as £30.
Secondly, does anyone have any idea how easy they are to fit? Some people seem to be saying they should be left to the garage, with others saying that there is a protective valve which will stop gas escaping so it's ok to do it at home.
Cheers, any help or advice very much appreciated.
