Ok scratch that, just seen a picture of a 165/50 on a 7j rim and It was more stretch that I'm looking for. Probably go for maybe a 195/40 or 45 to just get a hint of stretch ?

195 will be good. 195 on a 6.5 j wheel sits flush/slightly in. So on 7.5j you'll have about 13 ish mm stretch each side

Dark grey or silver would look good.

I love the look of both the white and the gold with the green - just depends what colour would suit the style of the wheel best - google has no pictures of painted rh cups !!!

gold with polished dish, or all white :) that's what I would do

all white would be easier. You painting yourself ?

Yea I think in gonna avoid polished lips - as nice as they are on a daily hack they take too much maintenance.

Havnt decided yet , I'm going to sandblast them myself at a mates factory then see what condition they come up in , I do like to do as much work on my car myself as I can , but if I'm honest I want the wheels to look pretty mint and I don't really rate my spraying skills !!!

Fair enough mate,  I've never properly sprayed anything before but I did my bbs myself. They come up near on perfect,  I'd say 9/10

prep work is the major thing making sure every tiny mark/paint/ding etc is gone the spraying is easy

only twit I had was doing it in the garage, was fine till I clear coated and the wind blew some dust over the wheels. can't really see it to be honest but I know it's there so it's annoying

cost about £50 in paint in total, refurb shop next to my work even said they looked really good

Yea I did my grill and a few little motorbike bits but nothing as valuable or important as my wheels ! Did you just use a spray can or did you get a proper gun for it ?

rattle cans with a clip on gun head that was about £3, made life a little easier

I used simoniz paint, can get it cheap online or from euro car parts.  Far better than halfords crappy paint. just use lots of lacquar coats,  and when they are fully cured I waxed the hell out of them to give a bit more protection
