R400 in a new Colour

Guys whats yer thoughts on this colour of blue?...looks a bit plastic looking to me...but still wouldnt say no  :whistle:

Agreed - it doesn't look quite right to me. It does hint that a bold blue like the old Mk4 Jazz Blue might look smart though. I'd love to see them make this.

The yellow should be a subtle gold and that blue has to be metallic.

Such a great car with such a cheap looking finish.

Let's face it this model is designed to attract a bit more of the Focus ST market, hence the boy racer styling.

When see something for first time you give first impressions in a say what see way, but you are so so right!! I could get used to it in my drive very easily  :smiley:

It's not a great colour in my opinion.  With my experience as a Graphic Designer the images look like a bad recolour of the original grey R400 images done in Photoshop. There's something not right about the tonal shading of the paint  in the image, it all looks too flat and posterised to me. 

Anyway back to subject.  I would love to have the car, but not in that colour.  Also as someone else has already mentioned the yellow would look better as a darker golden yellow and the blue would have to have some kind of metallic flake in it.  The paint work on the new Civic Type-R concept was red with a gold metallic flake in it.  Maybe VW could try something like this with the R400 should it reach production.

dark silver of grey for the R400 as it will look spot on against the yellow
