Any good paint dealers? (Other than VW)
« on: 25 June 2014, 10:56 »
Does anyone know anywhere decent for getting spray paint? Looking for LC7V (Blue Anthracite Pearl) but really expensive from the stealers and there's no way I'm getting it mixed by Halfords!?

Tried a few places but nowhere gets the mix right it never has the pearl effect that it has from the dealers.

Anyone know any other decent places?

I've found that the stuff Halfords mix up in shop is pretty decent, the off the shelf stuff is rubbish though.

I went Halfords once and the mix turned out dark green  So I have one slyly dark green wing mirror at the moment but luckily doesn't stand out unless you look really close

cant tell where to get paint in your area.but find a place where they give u sample cards to hold against your car with all the different shades of your paint code on . ive had 5 different color golfs and always got a perfect color match even with metallics.

halfords paint is never mixed to the right shade -and dealers is the same -you need to find an independent outlet if you want 100%match -a 400ml tin will cost ya around 16 quid .

I find the dealers are the only ones who get it right other than a professional sprayer but once they check the cost on my paint the price goes stupid?! Might have to just break the bank and go pro :undecided:
