« on: 24 June 2014, 00:37 »
not sure if right place, :embarrassed:
do you know if ZT wheels fit the mk4 platform ? I see they are 5x100 and et is similar but not sure on bore etc.

I ask on this forum because you guys are more approachable than  SEAT forum. :(
for a mk1 leon btw.

They do indeed centre bore needs adapting, smaller tyres, imo atleast 30mm spacers ....

They look rather good don't they!
How much do the bores have to be altered? Do they need the 30 mm spacers? im not a fan of using them, don't  like the extra stress they put on the wheel bearings.

the machining isn't an issue I can get that done at work. have you had any problems with bearing failure? How much did you pay for the spacers?
Iv not heard of the hairpins cracking before, iv been using a ZR for last 3 years, hence my absence. And iv been lurking on the MGR forums.

A lot of owners on the ZT forum have switched to straights or Apex as they are a lot stronger.

ahh ok, can't be arsed with straights, I have a set for the zr but never bothered to fit. they are similar to r32 and not keen on those either. I like the gridspokes I see they are also 18s .

Its not like there prone to cracking, no more than any other wheel theres only so much stress any alloy would take on our sh!tty roads.

Spacers cost a fortune bud tbh speak to awesome they should be able to sort something out 35 rears and 30 fronts
