Hi all, had anyone had the lettering peel off?

I think someone on the forum has.  Remember a thread about it.  They got the button changed.

Yes it was me! I noticed it feeling rough under my finger and sure enough, I could see the letter "E" had flaked a bit. The dealer ordered a new button and they fitted it within 10 minutes while I waited.
MK8.5 GTI Clubsport. Moonstone grey. Queenstown 19’s. DCC. Harmon Kardon sound. Pano roof.

What difference does that make? It won't be the dealer paying for it.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Dunno, sometimes dealers are funny about these kinda things. Example my bm has had four new wheels due to corrosion around the centre caps, supplying dealer swapped then no problem. Sister in law takes her x5 in for exactly same issue and same garage and she was told to take it up with her supplying dealer - go figure! Personally I've had a great rapport with my veedub dealer and wouldn't even need to question this.
