Found the cause of a rattle when it went bang...

Had a rattle, it went bang and pulled the intake off so the car died.....
Limped it to the garage to take a look and found the front mount bracket had snapped :shocked:
So off to work with the welder.....

That happened to me on a Corrado, got that horrible sinking feeling and the sound of the wife saying "That sounded expensive" in my ear...not well.

I've had that too....for me the primary cause was the rear mount breaking causing the front bracket to snap, broke the lug off the starter too.

Lugs gone off the starter too, cant be arsed with welding it back on as it only needs to last a few weeks.
Just goes to show rattles always get worse.....
