Why can't I change my ccm soft coding?
« on: 20 June 2014, 21:08 »
My 2001 golf gti 3dr has selective unlocking,  the coding in the ccm is 00256. I need to change it to 00064 but when I change and click "do-it" it just changes back to 00256, anyone know why? I've changed this loads of times on other cars before with no problems.

You need to add 1 to the last number in your original soft coding: 00257

Only reason I know is I've just literally done it on my mates car two days ago

Changed now and it stayed at the new figure. Just need to find out what's wrong with the door modules now. Phoned vw and they confirmed the ccm fitted is the correct part no. For the car, think the drivers module is the wrong one, I'll have pop the door card off and check.

door modules are all interchangeable as far as I know. What was the fault? My mate couldn't unlock the other doors and boot via a second press on the keyfob so I just changed it to open all of them on the first press lol

Windows don't always work, neither does the remote locking on the front doors (boot ok) got fault codes
00928 drivers side locking module incorrectly equipped.
And 01331  &  01332 drivers and passengers door control modules no communications
