Under Boosting

Hi Everyone.
I have a 2002 mk4 Golf 20v turbo ARZ engine 97k...I think it has a k03s
Since yesterday Ive noticed the car seems to be holding back when I accelerate hard ( between 2500 to 5500 revs ) as if its not boosting properly.
The car still goes quite well but there seems to be something missing. When i rev the car out of gear, I can here the turbo spool up but on a run it holds back. The wife thinks its the hot weather........
Any suggestions on what it can be?
Starting to p*ss me off now!!! :angry:

The hot wether does considerably effect performance on standard 1.8t's as the side mounted intercoolers are not very efficient so the charged air temp can remain quite high as it enters the engine.

Sorry Mate.
Should have said....The car is fitted with a front mount from the last owner, but the car has the standard GTI front bumper. So I don't really think there's much air getting to it anyway.

Yeah could be, when I had my Leon Cupra 1.8t i'd estimate there was around a 30bhp variation between hot and cold weather. All forced induction engines suffer with it, some more than others.

I thought for a second that there might have been a bigger problem.....Well a remap help this issue in hot weather?
Or im I going to get the same holding back issue .....

if its holding back check the MAF/ whatever induction you have

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

you need it hooked up to record logs and fault codes, second guessing everything won't help
