Rubber
« on: 14 June 2014, 01:54 »
Hi guys, just ordered some mim multi spoke alloys, 7x15 et13 no they are going to be a rite pain to fit so wanted to no what rubber would give most room.
Been looking at 175/50/15 and 195/45/15 but which one is has most clearance?
Seems more range of tyre in the 195/45/15.
Don't mind a bit of stretch but want it to be safe as its family bus
Any help would be great, thanks.

Rick

Personally I'd go for a wheel with an offset closer to standard.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

This.  I'm sure Edition 38 will be able to make some suggestions for tyres to suit wheels that shouldn't be on the car though....
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I wouldn't compromise on the width of the tyre. 195 is a must for me and find another way to fit them such as arch rolling if they don't. 195/45/15

No matter what tyres you run with that offset they are going to be a complete ballache to fit.

Well I have gone for 185/45/15, arches are rolled flat and got g60 plastics on so hopefully won't be to bad.
