How to write a post about looking for work
« on: 13 June 2014, 12:57 »
I am currently looking for work as a Database executive and i have found a forum which has members of organisations that could potentially lead to job openings.

I want to write a thread asking for any work within their organisation but not sure what to write or how to start it.

Any ideas?

Thread Title: Looking for work

Words.

Hi, I'm "Insert name here" and I am a Database Executive with xx years experience. I am currently looking for a new position because "insert reason here".

You'd be surprised with how simple honesty works with these types of threads.  People can spot a bullsh!tter from a mile off if you are talking with your industry peers.  Chances are they know the sh!t bits of the jobs and will sympathise is that's one of the reason for leaving past employer etc..

add in. Your level of experience, things you have achieved, what you are looking for in new role. What you are looking for in new employer.

And take it from there as you will bound to have questions thrown at you in response.

Are you on LinkedIn?

Jonathan.
