16v's are heavier as they carry 8 more valves

16's are the ones mate but for some reason the late small bumper mk2's with digifant lumps are very quick such as the helious blue ones

I was gonna go for a 16v but i've now decided on an 8v due to costs.

I'm only 19 and insurance on an 8v is £500 cheaper than a 16v. Also cheaper to buy, run and maintain which is what i need for now until i know that i am guaranteed a job at the end of my apprenticeship next year.

I'm also seriously looking into a 1.8T engine conversion next year so i'm sure i can manage without the extra 25bhp for now

But if money were no object i'd porbably be getting the 16v
