Retro fitting auto dimming mirror and auto wipers

I've got the wiring diagram from UK mk4's, but what the hell is a penulm chamber?

It would be great if the diagram just said:

Earth the 2 brown wires.
this one to fuse 5
this one to the back of the wiper relay pin
this one too
this one to this mystery penulm chamber which is located here.

Has anyone retro fitted this to their mk4?

plenum chamber refers to under the scuttle tray where the wiper motor and ecu live. an earth is an earth though, just because thats where it goes when they build doesnt mean you can't use any old earthing point.

so pin 2 and 3 are earthed on the T6a connector?

I assume the auto dim part only really needs some power to function.

I'll probably leave out the auto wipers part for now as that's a load of work to fit - so I've read.
