I have a problem with my rev counter it flickers and flashes the water level light it works perfect sometimes and not at all some days any ideas on what it could be?

Maybe you should start under the bonnet rather than assuming its your rev counter thats at fault ?!?

i dont think its the rev counter but i was asking what could cause it do do what its doing

This is a very common problem with the instruments on the mk2 (had it myself - I assume your counter is dropping/bouncing and simultaneously your water light flashes about three times?), there's been several threads over the years about it on here so if you do a search you should find some suggestions.

I'd maybe check your earths first?
