I can't tell you how long I looked for this information on the VW website! 

I like the positioning, you can drop a gear to 4th for an overtake and pick up a pringle on the way back to the steering wheel. DSG users can just eat at will I guess, again - I doubt VW mention the "pringle benefit" in the DSG blurb?
