Hi guys, a hello to the forum first then a favour if you don't mind.
after spending a lot of time on the mk3 forum with my 8v and 16v Annis I flew the nest onto a leon cupra for a while and now I've swapped it for a mk4 gt tdi 130, 5-door in black, very sensible! I'm chuffed to bits with it, got a real bargain. I took a job as a rep so doing super mileage and having already got a passat wagon 130tdi (the wife's) I wanted the same mpg and performance and the golf does that and then some. I've bought some Montreal 2's as the 15 inch wheels and dingy tyres were horrible around bends and the lower profile tires are 100 times better. The intention is to give it a drop and keep it pretty standard, but it rarely happens like that does it?
Now for a favour, is anyone breaking a mk4 or has some trim bits in a box somewhere, I need the trim that goes around the climatronic unit in black? I've been the scrappy and none had climatronic and eBay is only selling complete units or the net optic or wood which are expensive? Can anyone help me out?
