You can buy the oem badge trim tape from halfrauds or you could use some clear silicone sealant just put a few small dabs on the back of each letter i used some on my old mk3 rear vw badge and it was fine

You'll see when you try and get your old stuff off best way is use a hairdryer but don't get to close to the paintwork then they come off easier

I had a pug gti6 and I used a thing called araldite its a 2 stage glue glue its self and a hardener kept it on for years I think it cost £3.50 but worth it also used it to put handle back on mi tankard lol

Not really wanting to use araldite... I have used this for other things in the past will just go get the oem stuff but thanks for the suggestion
