Turning driving lights of
« on: 29 May 2014, 11:44 »
Probably been done before mine is a 62 plate car so I don't know if it is different to earlier gti's.  I have done the thing with indicator stick moved to the left position and no luck any suggestions would be a great help don't have xenons justly horrible yellow efforts

Not sure if it's the same with non xenons but on a 62 plate with xenons the daytime running lights can't be switched off via the indicator stalk method charlie.  They changed it at some point, not sure when.  It tells you in the manual they can't be switched off.  May be able to do it using vagcom.

Hey Charles, me in Northants too pal
From what I know, only cars up to 10/11 plate have the option to turn off DRL's off through the MDF.
You may be able to do via VAGcom however. I have VCDS if you are really set on this, but again I don't know for certain that you can on the later model
