Try AUTOBULBS DIRECT

I have just noticed they are doing the Osram CBI for £115 for the pair which is very good value.

These really are brighter than the OEM ones and well worth it, though it is up to yourself.

Mk6 GTI 3dr | DSG | Tornado Red | 18" Monza 2 | LED Xenons | RNS510 | Bluetooth | Smoked LED tails | Cruise | Reversing Camera | TPMS | - now sold :(

thanks mate.  Are the ones you suggest gas discharge ones?  And most importantly, will they function the same as OEMs? (regarding cornering, levelling, etc

btw can someone give me a quote for part no N10566103 (this is the factory High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) lamp)?  The dealer seems to be charging A LOT - over 400 pounds a pair.

No problem.

They are exactly the same bulb as the OEM just about 20% brighter so will not effect operation of the headlight.

I have been running them for a couple of years now with no issues.

All these bulbs are gas discharge as they generate light by sending an electrical discharge through an ionized gas.
In this case the gas is Xenon which produces a crisp white light.

might just give them a go then.  Considering that the quote for these is 115 pounds a pair, would you say the philips ones sold on ebay for about 50 pounds a pair are not genuine??

Probably fake, you can read THIS article which mentions them.

I have already got stung once and in the worst case they can take out the Ballast (£150 each) or as mine did only last six months.

man I'm really at a loss here.  I've ordered a pair selling for 55 quid on ebay (down from 75), with 24 month warantee, says new and genuine.  Does that sound like fake? You got me thinking with what you said but the warantee thing made me think this is not fake.
