Cheers all. will post parts request on mk1 forum. No pics yet, will do them soon. the cabby's totally stripped at the moment and i'm doing bits of bodywork prior to me painting it. Working on it is a real pleasure, had a few golfs over the years, the missus has a mk2 16v,but that needs work too. Also got a cavalier GSI but want to swap it for a mk1 gti or caddy. Thanks again you friendly dubbers, speak soon.

hi,i bought my wife a fiat uno 45 (903cc) as her 1st car,(she wasn`t into cars, i always got stick like "why new exhaust, alloys etc),but it got her into driving. After 6 month`s it was time for better (not hard). I went to a local auction with orders of "no golfs and nothing red". I got her a red 8v gti, lowered, cam, scorpion dtm system etc, it blew her away. Since then there`s been no looking back and is now on her 2nd 16v, all modified (it`s now cool to do such things) so there ya have it, c ya!

Hmm,

Tried all kinds  (alfa's to vauxhalls) she's settled on an xtype jag cos the baby is due and we now have wipe clean seats and curtain airbags.

Its like driving a wardrobe though.

Still think I can get her dubbed if I can find one with PAS.  Anyone up for a valver and MK1 1.8 (both in er... condition although one has just somehow passed a mot?) in exchange for something with PAS?

I know I should restore the mk1 and give it pas but baby coming??
