Agg 8v Crank sensor

How easy is it to get this little begger out and replace it ive been told it's a sh:te, looking now for another one,had to be towed home by the AA this afternoon nice chap thought it was the 30 relay again until was told otherwise cars fooked now though,and ive just ordered a load of new parts as well looks like im going to have to sorn the begger over the winter  and get a runabout while i strip the front end off or wait for a quote from the garage now or roll up the old sleeves and do it myself o well back to the drawing board have to join the no car club for a while... :cry: :cry:

If you mean the part inside the distributor then its a new distributor jobby.

Breakdowns seem to be doing the rounds atm.. :cry:

Voltage to coil and engine components ok ,no spark no coil or injector switching suspect crank sensor.. :cry:

I get y now. The hall sensor is inside the distributor. Thats the crank sensor i think, usually looks like this.



If its the 16v motor then let me know and i will tell you whats involved in changing it.

It's an 8v AGG the wires run round the back of the oil filter to the plug you can see at the bottom of the first picture above the mount ive just been underneath the car and there's no way this sensor is coming out unless i support the engine and gearbox and remove the front mount recon it's going to be a fun job.. :angry: :angry: :cry:

deffo crank sensor part no 037906433A that's what it says on the tin.. :sad: :cry:

apparently so ive found out a common problem one of 3 things ecu relay/fuel relay/crank sensor wondering if i can get away with jacking the engine up on a trolley jack and removing the front mount god damn expensive for a new sensor tho £80+

Managed to source the correct crank sensor £32.90 including relay 30 and delivery so im on the up best roll out the trolley jack juniors got some fixing to do now why am i left with these spare bolts... :laugh: :laugh:
