Rear wiper delete

Hey guys going to remove rear wiper and just wanted to no is it ok to block the water tube in the engine bay ?

far easier to plug the hose at the wiper motor end  :wink: you could do it at the washer bottle end but you would need to drain it first i plugged mine at the rear wiper motor end when i deleted mine just found a correct fitting bolt and pushed it into the plastic tube and used a small clip to hold it tightly in

I know that's the normal thing to do but I was swapping boot lids and the tube snapped just inside the bodywork so figure engine end now my best bet... Could I just cut about 6inches from washer bottle and seal it?

yep will be fine, or if you want to do it properly, you can buy the passat or bora (cant remember which) bottle and pump which only has one outlet and remove the whole rear washer system.

that sounds like a plan...need to look into that is it a straight swap? Or can I just use the pump?

You should just be able to use the pump they just push into the bottle sealed with a rubber grommet  :wink:

Got one from eBay for a couple of quid so will give it a go
